The Canadian Institute of Child Health (CICH), along with its partners Industry Canada’s Community Access Program, the Canadian Public Health Association, AOL Canada and the Canadian Library Association, are developing a parenting series technology for families across Canada who share an interest in parenting and child development. The Network of Connected Parents, funded in part by Human Resources Development Canada, will provide families with access to evidence-based parenting information from their own community on topics such as nutrition, safety, accident prevention, climate change and the promotion of family relationships and positive parenting. This series consists of eight interactive Internet sessions including guest speakers, roundtable members and short film clips that reinforce learning, as well as messages that reinforce the material taught.
